imgDigital Grape publishes a new “CCTV User Guide” for the surveillance industry.

Written by Dave Gorshkov CEng FIET, Chairman of the CCTV Standards Committee and author of the latest CCTV IP camera standards used by Homeland Security and TSA as a baseline for all transport operators CCTV systems, the new guide outlines the way to test a CCTV system using the UK Home Office approved Rotakin® as well as the latest updated CCTV Approved Testing System (CATS™) based on the UK Home Office’s latest generation of testing charts and the now famous ‘faces’ for use with testing compression systems such as H264.

The CCTV testers guide, when used in conjunction with the CATS™ or Rotakin® targets is invaluable when evaluating the effective capabilities of a new or existing surveillance system and can be used to determine if a surveillance system is fit for purpose and what it’s capabilities actually are when measured against industry accepted test criteria.

Digital Grape can also provide a testing and evaluation service , if needed , to assess the capabilities of an existing surveillance system on using on site testing, or new systems design, and to determine if it meets recognized performance and operational standards for end users and Systems integrators alike.

The CCTV Testers guide is available from Digital Grape’s web site as an option with the new CATS™ testing charts.

If you are using Rotakin already and need the guide to refer to the calibration and resolution validation information, please drop me us an email and we can quote you for the guide. See our contact page and fill in the contact form specifying your order details and we will contact you to finalize delivery details.

Rotakin is a registered trade mark of the UK Home Office and protected by Crown Copy write

CATS is trade marked by Digital Grape Business Services Ltd.
